Stoke Take Defender On Trial

Stoke City have taken Accrington Stanley youngster Reagan Ogle on trial.

The 17-year-old played 45 minutes of Stoke’s U23s 4-1 defeat at home to Reading today.

Ogle showed some tidy touches at right wing back but didn’t get much of an opportunity to shine. He is the latest youngster to trial at the club ahead of the new season, with the likes of Jordan Blinco and Jack Bainbridge being deemed not good enough in recent weeks.

An Australian in his second year at Accrington, Ogle has recently spent a month on loan at Ramsbottom United in the EvoStik League Division One North, scoring on his debut against Ossett Albion in February.

Ogle has already made his senior debut for his parent club, coming on in the 56th minute at Molineux as Stanley were thrashed 4-0 by Wolves U23 in the Checkatrade Trophy, and he’ll continue to have a bit of time to shine at the club having only arrived at Clayton Wood yesterday.
