Time To Go?
It looks like there could be a few faces leaving Stoke City this summer.
Mark Hughes has earmarked a number of players who he would like an upgrade on, with Charlie Adam potentially the first man to leave the bet365 Stadium.
Newly promoted Burnley’s shopping list has Adam at the top of it and Stoke are keen to thrash out a deal for a player seen to be heading towards the end of his top flight career.
Another man who may depart is Peter Crouch, who has been attracting interest from Premier League and Championship sides.
Crouch was given three starts towards the end of last season but at 35 his days at Stoke are surely numbered.
One player who has generated plenty of speculation in recent months is Marko Arnautovic, and the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in snapping him up.
Rumours of incoming players- namely Ramadan Sobhi– only add fuel to the fire regarding Arnautovic’s departure.
Whilst few fans would begrudge players moving on to further their careers, it’s imperative Stoke replace them.
With the players now returning for pre-season training, we’re yet to see any new first team arrivals.
That must change sooner rather than later if we’re to keep up with our high spending rivals.
