Bradford Come To Town

Stoke City Ladies are set to host Bradford City tomorrow (2:00pm kick-off).

The match will end a month-long wait for a league match, with Stoke on a run of three consecutive victories.

Last weekend they beat Florence 11-0 in the Staffordshire Ladies Challenge Cup, but it was victories over Nottingham Forest and Fylde that were most impressive.

Those league wins pushed Stoke up the table and they now sit level on 12 points with Bradford.

Their recent form is a far cry from the last meeting between the sides, when Bradford ran out 5-1 victors at Eccleshill.

Lucy Sowerby and Charlotte Stuart both grabbed braces on that day, but the Potterettes’ recent form boosts expectations that the side can avenge the pain of that heavy loss.

Entry at Community Drive is free to season card holders and, with kick-off just minutes after the final whistle of the men’s match at Watford, it’s shaping up to be a ‘Spectacular Stoke Sunday’!
