2015-16: Arnie Tops Charts

Arnautovic 2015-16

It will come as no surprise that Marko Arnautovic came out with the highest ratio of goals per match in a Stoke shirt over the 2015-16 season.

The Austrian managed 0.32 goals per match over the campaign- the 25th best record in the Premier League.

Sergio Aguero was the most lethal striker in the division with 0.8 goals per match (GPM)- Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge his closest rival, with an average of 0.67 GPM.

Bojan returned from injury well, with an average of 0.26 goals per match.

There were no other Stoke players managing an average over 0.2 goals per match though- Mame Diouf’s goal on the final day of the season almost got him there, but he ended on 0.19 GPM for the campaign.

Putting it another way, 0.2 GPM equates to just one goal every five appearances- although that doesn’t account for length of time on the pitch.

With these statistics in mind do you think Stoke should concentrate on bolstering their front line over the summer?
