Double Effort to Reach Century

Stoke recorded their 100th win in the Premier League on Saturday.

It’s been a combined effort between two great managers- Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes.

Pulis, the man behind Stoke’s rise to the top flight, managed 56 of the 100 wins.

They came in 190 matches, at a 29.5% success rate.

Hughes took over in 2013 and, as the team has become more established in the top flight, Stoke have naturally picked up a better ratio of victories.

The Hull match was Hughes’ 123rd Premier League match in charge of Stoke and his 44th win. A 35.77% win percentage.

So, in three and a bit years- compared to Pulis’ five seasons- Hughes has managed to notch 44% of Stoke’s Premier League wins.

Here’s to the next 100!
