A Slice Of History Beckons

Joe Allen is on the brink of becoming the first Stoke player to score in four consecutive Premier League matches.

The Welshman’s scoring run has raised plenty of eyebrows, but he travels to Hull this weekend with the potential of making Stoke City history.

A handful of players have scored in three matches on the bounce, with Allen obviously the latest to join that list after strikes against West Brom, Manchester United and Sunderland.

Ricardo Fuller was the first man to achieve the feat. The Jamiacan netted in the final three matches of the 2008-09 campaign.

The other players to score in three games on the bounce are Kenwyne Jones (twice in 2010-11), Matthew Etherington (also 2010-11) and Peter Crouch (2014-15).

Fingers crossed that Allen breaks the record on Saturday!
