Hughes On Hull: “We’re Ready & Confident”
Mark Hughes has delivered his weekly press conference ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Hull.
And The Potters’ boss declared: “We are ready and we are confident.”
Hughes was naturally pleased with last week’s win against Sunderland, and says: “we are moving in the right direction- we are a confident group. We are disappointed with the start we’ve had this year.”
Whilst Hughes acknowedges that all away games at this level are tough, the upcoming run of fixtures seems to have come at the perfect time: “we are in a confident mood going into games where we can get a number of points.”
Hopefully that confidence shines through to allow Stoke to record their 100th Premier League victory tomorrow.
And the manager revealed that Jack Butland is back in light outfield training following a small procedure: “Hopefully he’s now in a place where he can quickly move forward.” As well as Lee Grant has been doing, Butland’s return from injury will be a relief for all Stoke fans…so long as he isn’t rushed back.
Grant will play his fifth game for Stoke tomorrow, hoping for a better outcome than his first match in a Potters shirt…the 2-1 EFL Cup defeat to Hull.
