Tyrese is back, as two unbeaten records face each other.
Michael O’Neill announced today in his press conference that Tyrese Campbell won’t be selected for the upcoming U23 game as he was in The 20 man squad to face Bournemouth.
Stoke have an almost perfect home record, winning 5 and draw 1 of the six league fixtures so far. Tuesdays opponents Bournemouth haven’t lost at all this season so it would suggest this will be Stoke’s hardest fixture so far.
How have we faired in previous meetings.
Saturday’s fixture will be the 31st meeting between the two sides
Stoke wins 14
Draws 7
Bournemouth wins 9
The last meeting
The last meeting was back in May, Academy prospect Will Forrester made his senior debut and topped his day of with a goal as Stoke ran out 2-0 winners. Tommy Smith scored the other Potters goal in a deserved victory.
Form (last 4 games)
Stoke
Stoke 2-0 Hull
Preston 1-1 Stoke
Stoke 1-0 WBA
Sheffield United 2-1 Stoke
Bournemouth
Bournemouth 2-1 Luton
Peterborough 0-0 Bournemouth
Bournemouth 2-1 Sheffield United
Bristol City 0-2 Bournemouth
Who’s the threat
Bournemouth are a wash with talented player with the likes of Solanke, Billing, Lerma & Junior Stanislas who always seems to have a good game versus Stoke
How could Stoke set up for the game.
I think the side that played against Sheffield United will still be the side we play, the second half showed we can boss a team and create chances, it was more of tactics in the first half rather than personal. Tyrese Campbell I’d expect would start in the bench and only come on if needed or at the most the final 20mins
