Odemwingie Set For Wanderers

Peter Odemwingie is on the verge of a move to Bolton Wanderers.

The popular striker was released by Stoke in the summer and has struggled to find a new employer since.

But Bolton seems to be his next destination, and he could make his debut against Bury on Monday evening.

Odemwingie joined Stoke from Cardiff, scoring five goals in his 15 matches during his debut 2013-14 campaign.

But a knee injury sustained early in the following season curtailed his career at Stoke.

Nevertheless, he became a popular figure at the club and earned a piece of history when becoming the first Stoke player to score in a World Cup- netting against his club team-mate Asmir Begovic for Nigeria in Brazil.

Odemwingie will join up with another former Stoke player at Bolton in Lewis Buxton.
