Orlando City B 0-5 Stoke City

Stoke romped to victory against Orlando City B team today.

In a game played over three 30 minute periods, Stoke came out on top with a 5-0 scoreline.

The match wraps up Stoke’s time in Florida, and with two morale boosting victories under their belt it will be seen as a worthwhile trip.

Orlando, coached by former Stoke midfielder Anthony Pulis, were no match for Stoke, who gave a majority of their squad a run out in sweltering conditions- including a debut in red and white for Joe Allen.

Xherdan Shaqiri’s brace saw Stoke 2-0 up at the first break, with Joselu adding another in the second period.

A number of younger members of the squad played the final period, during which Mame Diouf and Marko Arnautovic scored to put a nice gloss on the final scoreline.

Diouf’s goal was his third in three matches, as he stakes a claim for a starting spot against Middlesbrough on the opening day.

Stoke’s final friendly comes on Saturday, when they travel to Germany to take on Hamburger SV.
