Peter Crouch With TC

Crouch Conroy

Peter Crouch entertained an audience in the Tony Waddington Suite last night.

The striker volunteered his time to help raise funds for Becca’s Wish To Walk.

Becca Carey, from Congleton, was born with cerebral palsy and requires surgery in the USA to have Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery- at the cost of £80,000.

On a heartwarming evening, the full amount of money was raised and Becca’s surgery will now go ahead.

Crouch spent a good hour in conversation with Terry Conroy and we caught a snippet of his memories of his time at Stoke so far, which you can listen to below (the sound system needs an upgrade in the Waddington Suite!).

The evening was attended by a number of SCOBA members, including Gordon Banks, Jimmy Greenhoff and Denis Smith.

It was a fantastic event and one that put the smile on everybody’s faces.

Top marks to Peter Crouch for giving up his time in such entertaining fashion.
