Ramadan For Stoke
The month of Ramadan might be coming to a close, but Stoke are closing in on the signature of Egyptian winger Ramadan Sobhi.
The highly rated Al Ahly star is due to finalise his move over the weekend for a fee of €6 million plus 15% sell on fee.
Aged just 19, Sobhi already has six international caps to his name and former Tottenham boss Martin Jol- his manager at Al Ahly- has been desperate to hold on to him.
But it looks like the lure of the Premier League will be too much to keep Sobhi in Cairo.
His arrival will add depth to both wings, but Sobhi also offers versatility to play in a number of attacking positions- something that would have been very handy towards the back end of last season.
Should he join, Sobhi will become the first Egyptian to sign for Stoke City.
In other news, Stoke missed out on the signing of Nani today. The Portuguese international has opted to join Valencia.
