Debuts For Stoke Pair

George Waring

Stoke youngsters Moha and George Waring made their debuts for Shrewsbury Town last night.

The pair didn’t get off to the greatest of starts though, as Shrewsbury went down to a 3-0 defeat at Charlton.

That score wasn’t reflective of how Moha and Waring performed though, with both joining the action as substitutes with the scoreline already 3-0 to the home side.

The match at The Valley represented Moha’s competitive professional debut.

Their temporary departure from Stoke leaves The Potters fairly light ahead of the EFL Trophy campaign, although regular first team action is obviously far more important for their development.

Tomorrow night (Thursday 18 August), their Stoke team-mates will be in action against Burnley in the Final Third Development League Cup (North) Final. The match will be held at Leek Town’s Harrison Park, with a 7pm kick off.
