Ladies Travel to Fylde

Stoke City Ladies will be hoping to replicate Thursday’s success at Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

The team travel to Fylde- formerly Preston- for a 2pm kick-off.

Fylde have had an excellent start to the season, currently sitting in third position, and the two teams played out a pulsating 3-3 draw a few weeks ago at Community Drive.

Stoke put a poor run of form behind them with a resounding 5-1 win at Forest in midweek and will need to put in a similar performance against a side that have lost just once all season.

Natasha Flint scored twice in the reverse fixture and she has seven goals to her name so far. Danielle Young is also one to look out for- she’s managed six goals to date.

But Stoke have their own danger players, with Ash Hayes netting nine times in all competitions- including a brace on Thursday. However, it was the team display that was the danger in the Forest victory.

That result lifted Stoke up to eighth in the FA Women’s Premier League (North), with nine points from as many matches.

Stoke’s reserves, meanwhile, will aim to continue their 100% record when they travel to Leicester- a team who have also won all their matches to date.
