Job Done for the Potters, but not for Forest

Match Preview: Forest v Stoke

Wednesday nights game has suddenly become a nothing game for Stoke, though lots rides on the result for Forest.

Stoke expected to be going into the game needing at least a point or other results to go our way, But the great displays against Birmingham, Bristol City & Brentford has edged Stoke clear of any trouble.
Nottingham Forest however need at least a point to make sure they stay above Swansea in the play off places

Stoke have not won at the City ground since Mark Stein scored a beauty in a 3-2 win back in 1993

Forest’s form

Forest’s form has not been good. They have gone from a side almost certain to be in the play offs to a side hanging on for dear life to that place. Forest have not won in the last 5 games, with bottom of the league Barnsley taking all the points in their last game, albeit via a 93minute goal.

What result do you expect for the Nottingham Forest v Stoke Game?

Stoke City Press Conference, minus Nathan Jones.

Press Conference for the upcoming game verses Nottingham Forest

Paul Hart takes the questions for the Nottingham Forset press conference because Nathan Jones has a prior dinner arrangement with Peter Coates, but will make the obligated interviews with the main stream media

Paul Hart started proceedings by making it obvious to the media that he will be talking about the next game only/ we have to keep delivering the work that we’ve been doing. the signs were positive against Bristol City & Brentford he added.

Stoke have not won enough football games and this has got to change. Paul Hart says that in his opinon Nathan Jones is coping well with the increasing pressure that the poor run is creating

Nottingham Forest are always a tough team to play against and I don’t expect anything different tomorrow. We go into the game with no injuries barring Ryan Shawcross, but even he is looking on course for an early return to action.

Hart went on to say “I’m not just saying this but our supporters in the last two home games and at Brentford last weekend were excellent. We have to give them what they want. It’s simple really, we need to start winning football matches”.

Nothing more was said, great news that Shawcross is on course for a christmas return. Hopefully he can instal some defensive leadership into the side.

Preview: Stoke v Nottingham Forest

Stoke v Forest

Stoke take on Nottingham Forest live on Sky Sports on Friday night, The game is looking like a must win game for Nathan Jones with talk in the media of the Coates family losing patience with the manager.

Stoke sit second bottom in the league, without a league win all season. Nathan Jones time as manager is looking like it’s coming to an end if he cannot turn around our fortunes very quickly.

Stoke have two league home games now with Forest and Bottom of the league Huddersfield visiting the bet365 Stadium in the next 5 days. You’d have to think that a minimum of 4 points is needed for Nathan Jones to delay the axe falling.

Forest come into tomorrows game with only one loss in the last 10 league and Cup games, that loss was a 5-0 defeat to Premier League Arsenal in the EFL Cup.

Nottingham Forest are currently in the last play off spot in the league, 13 points above Stoke City. To be 13 points away from what at the start of the season would of been a minimum requirement for Stoke city for the season, by gaining a play off spot just shows how far away Stoke are from having a good season.

Men to watch

Lewis Grabban leads the line for Forest and has 4 league goals this season

Brice Samba signed this summer from Caen for just short of £2million, The French keeper has already put in some outstanding displays, non more than his performance v Barnsley.

What are your expectations for the game? Will their be more empty seats especially with the game being televised.
